And of course, with with the friction or "drag" removed, a simple tug brings the solder wire right to you when soldering. It really is that big of a deal and makes that big of a difference.

Four Non-Skid Feet: In addition, the SolderMill™ features four additional, non-skid rubber feet to keep it securely at place when you pull and draw the solder wire. Non-Skid feet together with the SolderGlide™ makes the SolderMill not only unique, but far superior to other "spool holders".

Fabricated from Steel, Not Aluminum! Unlike other solder holders, the SolderMill™ is made out of steel, not lightweight aluminum. This gives it "weight" and now add this to our non-skid feet, and your solder wire spool just "stays put" while only the solder wire moves! Imagine that.

Space Saving Design: In consideration of the value space at the bench, both of our SolderMill™ holders are only a mere 3.5 inches wide, 3.2 inches deep, and 2.2 inches high. (8.8cm x 8.1cm x 5.5cm).

An Economical Price & It's Made Right Here in the USA: Finally, the SolderMill™, like all of the Zephyrtronics premium equipment, is manufactured right here in Southern California and is always in stock at our factory in Los Angeles County. That means that we don't need to pay for ocean freight and a container load to cross the ocean for eight weeks from a slave labor "off-shore facility" in order to market such a simple, but utilitarian and helpful item.

Convenient Loading: How much easier could it be than this? To load a new spool of solder into the SolderMill™, simply lift out the tube/axis by sliding it up, remove the old spool, slide on the new one, and position them back into the base  of the SolderMill™. Seconds, not minutes!
