Rework Flux
PCB
Flux, Zephlux™ No-Clean,
RMA Flux. Our Popular
NCF Series |
|
|
Developed for Prototyping & Rework:
Our wildly popular Zephlux™
No-Clean, Rework Flux
was
developed by our engineering group working closely with
one of the
world's leading metallurgical laboratories. Indeed,
our customers rave that our
No Clean Rework
Flux
-- available since 196 -- is the still the best
fluxing agent for PCB work at the bench where prototype
tasks and PCB rework are performed. Why? Because it is
not a high-production flux, but a bench-top
extra-low,
residue flux
for PCB's where localized rework is performed. |

More Details:
A Brief History: We
wanted a no clean tack flux that would stay local to the area being targeted for
solder reflow during either prototyping or rework and still have all of the fluxing
properties that we felt were critical for successful board work.
High Volume Fluxing Agents Not Well Suited for the
Bench:
Most of the fluxes marketed today have a more liquid
consistencies because they are formulated specifically for
high-volume production work where the entire board is
bathed in flux prior to reflow. While such
liquid fluxes are ideal for the general applications in
high-volume processes,
these fluxes are
problematic for benchtop electronic work because most
soldering tasks are localized
where a technician is working with a single
component for removal and/or replacement.
The liquid nature of most production fluxes makes
control difficult during localized prototyping and
rework applications because those fluxes tend to
spread and run all over the board -- where flux is not
wanted, thereby requiring an additional
cleaning the whole PCB assy.

Our
NCF No Clean Rework Flux Can Be Applied by Foam Swab or
By Syringe (See Top of This Page) |
|
"No clean" means
no requirement to clean residue. Still, if some cosmetic cleaning
is desired, our honey
consistency attribute of "staying put" on the pads makes
cosmetic cleaning later easier, more
controllable.
The Rework Flux
is a
low residue, no-clean,
RMA tack flux formulated for electronic production work
and is ideal for either surface mount, thru-hole and mixed
technologies where localized PCB prototyping and rework is
performed. |
